On May 30, 2014, Governor John Hickenlooper visited the Southern Ute Indian Tribal Reservation to sign HB14-1080, a bill that clarifies certain state tax laws affecting tribal members. This is the first time that a sitting Colorado Governor has signed legislation on Tribal land affecting the Ute Tribes located in Colorado.
